A Good Day To Die Hard

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkFCgYjVBYs

Due to issues i am unable to post the video directly to my blog but instead i have placed the link above.
the other day i watched a good day to die hard produced by Giant Studios which is a more 3d based studio compared to the previous die hard films, the first two done by silver pictures and the third one done by cinergi studios the reason for this is unknown, probably due to its fast time difference.

but going back to the video at hand, the clip i have chosen is the helicopter crashing. focusing on the propeller blades, i love the fluid animation and the impressive use of 'follow through' which is one of the 12 principles of animation. and as you can tell i am a sucker for the principles!!

Aniboom!

After researching for my other module 'process and production' i came across a video that was presented by a company called aniboom where digital artists (mainly animators) sign up and any number of clients can search the site for animators to do animations that the client wants created.
this is a great way for animators to get them selves out there ready for anyone to snatch them up and give them a brief!

As a big fan of both CGI and assassins creed which was one of the ground breaking games to be released on the generation of gaming consoles including the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it was so ground breaking due to its use of motion capture and fantastic model detail, to create a very lifelike representation of the world and the people who inhabit it, it was so revolutionary that they created a short film of the assassins creed series!
in 1986 five brothers of the Guillemot family founded the company ubisoft to be a computer game publisher, and since then it has thrived releasing such titles as splinter cell which is another well known series of games!
